The CV
You will need a typed CV telling people about yourself to give to the person at the place you are applying to for a job or to send to the companies you would like to work for
Watch this video to find out what you need to put in your CV (you’ll probably need to skip the ads at the beginning) https://youtu.be/0d37P-neOiY
An example of a CV to give you an idea of what it should look like https://johncabotacademy.clf.uk/wp-content/uploads/School-Leaver-CV-Template.pdf
To produce a typed CV you will need to use a PC, laptop, phone or tablet. You will also need an email address if you’re going to be applying for jobs online. Tap on this link to set up a Gmail account https://support.google.com/mail/answer/56256?hl=en-gb
Once you have a Gmail account, you can type your CV in Google Drive and either print it or save it either as a Word document or a PDF
An easier way of doing it is here – just fill in the boxes to create and download your CV https://barclayslifeskills.com/i-want-to-use-my-online-presence-to-get-ahead/school/cv-builder/
Once you have completed your CV for a particular job you will need to send it with a covering letter, or email if you are applying for a job online, introducing yourself to the employer https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/careers-advice/covering-letter
Online Tests
If an employer is interested in you, they might ask you to do an online test of some sort. You can practise doing them here https://www.shl.com/shldirect/en/practice-tests/
